The Athlete's House is a privately owned retail store designed to address the needs of
the active individual. We sell performance oriented, high quality clothing, shoes and
accessories with a specialization in Running and Soccer.
In addition to soccer and running, we carry a large selection of Lacrosse accessories and
Wrestling shoes.
The Athlete's House was established in 1973. It is recognized as
the first running Store in Tennessee.
Our store offers a relaxing environment and experienced staff who are trained to provide
reliable services and product information.
At The Athlete's House, we are eager to discuss your fitness goals. We will help you
with whatever you need wether it be to complete a marathon or a 5k. Many of us have
first-hand experience with the same products and apparel that The Athlete's House carries.

DAVID GRAEFLIN: Store Owner
David graduated from Overton High School where he played football, basketball, and ran track.
He continued his athletic career at Vanderbilt University and was a track and cross-country stand out.
He ran the mile, two mile, and three mile in track.
• 3rd at the Southeastern Conference in the two mile and 2nd in the three mile.
• placed in the top ten three years for cross-country.
After graduation he helped coach kid's track including Margaret Sloan, the 1988 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials Champion.
David started selling shoes out of his truck at the all comers' track meets before road racing became popular.

In 1973 he started The Athlete's House and has been in the same building ever since.
He and his wife Sharon have 6 children ages 9-28.
You can see David at many of the local road races, track meets, cross-country meets, and soccer tournaments. He always volunteers his time to help the local athletes, especially runners. He is also involved with the Nashville Striders and has volunteered for many of their events since they started.
ERIC CONSTANTINE: Store Manager
Eric started having interest for running in the 5th grade.
He started running on the Cross Country and Track teams in Junior High School.
• Ran on the team that won the State Cross Country Championships for the state of Alabama three consecutive years.
• 2nd at the Alabama State Cross Country Championships his Junior year.
• Alabama State Cross Country Champion his Senior year.
Being a huge Alabama football fan, he decided to fullfill his dreams and accepted a scholarship to run Cross Country and Track at the University of Alabama.
Eric has run one Marathon and does well in many of the local 5k and 10k races.
Eric has passed along some of his running talents to his oldest daughter who is in the 5th grade and
enjoys running with her on the weekends.

GARY GOSH: Sales Associate
Gary has worked at the Athlete's House since September of 2002.
Gary graduated with a journalism-business degree from Franklin College in Franklin, IN., where he
held the school record in the 10,000 meter run.
In his 30 years of running experience, he has run over 1,000 races, taken on the Boston Marathon five times and run 13 other marathons.
Within those years Gary has managed to run some impressive personal records from the Marathon down to the 10K.

• 1 hr 14mn ....Half-Marathon
• 52:33 ... 10 mile run
• 32:13 ... 10 K run
Gary lets his feet make for a better healthier community when he's not helping runners find the best shoe
and attire for themselves. He organizes local running events, teaches running classes and trains and coaches other runners at the Williamson County Parks
and Recreation Complex in Franklin.
Gary Has worked as a marketing director in the financial industry and as a newspaper reporter.
